The Glowrie story

A weekday job. A weekend garden. Then a life in flowers.

Glowrie began as a convenient side hustle — the rare kind of work that let us keep a Monday-to-Friday job and still make rooms beautiful on Saturday. Other businesses asked for every day. Décor asked for heart, hands and the weekend.

That hustle grew into a studio whose only real metric is the face that lights up when the wrap comes off, or when the arch is dressed and the aunties start taking pictures.

Today we cover every region of Uganda, still with the same promise: beauty that puts a glow on people.

How Glowrie works

Clear rules. No surprises on D-day.

1. Site visit first

We do not arrive to “just look.” A visit fee is paid on Mobile Money before the team travels — Kampala belt UGX 50,000, greater Central UGX 80,000, rest of Uganda UGX 150,000.

2. 80% to lock the design

Once the concept is agreed, an 80% deposit reserves flowers, labour and transport. The 20% balance is due before the event day.

3. Kind, firm house rules

Cancel more than a month before the event. Anything damaged at the venue during or after the function is compensated by the client.
