Glowrie Events did not begin as a grand company. It began as a side hustle that was actually convenient — the rare kind of work that let us keep a proper Monday-to-Friday job and still make other people’s Saturdays beautiful.
Most businesses want you every day. Décor was different. It lived in the weekends, in the early call times, in the quiet of a venue before guests arrive. That rhythm made it possible to start small and stay sincere.
What kept us going was not the hustle itself. It was the moment a wrap comes off a bouquet, or an auntie covers her mouth when she sees the arch. Putting smiles on faces — sparking them, really — through the beauty of décor and flowers. That is still the whole point.
Today Glowrie covers every region of Uganda: weddings, giveaways and introductions, and flowers for every kind of function. The studio is larger. The rule is the same. If it does not glow, it is not leaving the workroom.
